Empowering women to take the helm

Angie's Philosophy

At She Sails U we bring together women of various skill sets to create a unique learning experience in a safe, relaxed environment.  Regardless if you are new to sailing or a seasoned sailor wanting to improve your skill set, we have a program to meet your needs.

We have been training sailors to take the helm for several years. From this extensive experience, we have noticed that women learn differently than their male counterparts. We empower the student with knowledge of what the boat is going to do, what she is expected to do and what the crew is to do.  From this vantage point, she can easily put into practice the new skills she is learning.

We also recognize that each student learns in her own way, so we use a variety of teaching techniques including class room work, demonstrations, and hands-on learning to help each student unlock her potential and grow her skill set with ample support and guidance.
